Much of the world has spent some undisclosed amount of time gazing out the window of an office building, dreaming of white-sand beaches, mountains coated with ski-ready snow, or bustling and unfamiliar cities promising adventure.
Celebrities are arguably the best candidates for traveling the world. With their astounding influx of cash and unusual filming or press schedules, actors, musicians, and others in the entertainment industry love to jetset (and often document the entire thing to their both adoring and deeply jealous fans.)
For those seeking travel inspo, here are nine places that celebs have traveled to and loved —and they’ve been a lot of places, so you know they’re legit.
Chrissy Teigen’s “special place” is Lake Como.
The “Lip Sync Battle” host and certified Twitter genius also has a soft spot for Italy.
“For me, the most special place is Lake Como, Italy,” she told Travel + Leisure. “There’s just something so picturesque and so quiet about it. When you look out on the lake it looks like a painting. It’s completely silent.”
She also loves Lake Como for its versatility: “There’s so many aspects of it,” Teigen continued. “You can take a boat up the lake, you can do these little excursions, you can wear sandals with a dress and go eat the best Italian food of your life.
John Legend and Chrissy Teigen also got married in Lake Como and filmed the music video for Legend’s song “All of Me” just before the ceremony. Talk about a special place.
Jennifer Aniston brought plenty of her A-list friends with her on a trip to Cabo San Lucas.

“Cabo San Lucas is my favorite vacation spot,” the “Friends” actress revealed to Harper’s Bazaar. Aniston has visited the tourist destination with a slew of stars, including Courteney Cox, Emily Blunt, John Krasinski, Jason Bateman, and more.
Shay Mitchell wants to live in Italy.
Despite recent accusations that she was faking some of her vacation photos— a claim she denied— Shay Mitchell has been to so many places that she has dubbed her travels “Shaycations” on YouTube. But she has a clear favorite.
“[Italy] will always be my number one and a place I would love to call ‘home’ someday,” the “Pretty Little Liars” actress told Ranker of the country. “Every other place you visit leaves an impact on you, but Italy was something that felt perfect from the moment I arrived. I mean… HELLO PIZZA, right?! :).”
She’s not wrong.
Khloe Kardashian loves picture-perfect Greece.
As anyone who Keeps Up With the Kardashians knows, the A-list family has gone on a lot of vacations. Still, even with Bora Bora, Thailand, Florence, London, and Paris in the running, Khloe’s top spot was Greece.
“One of my most favorites was Greece!” she wrote on her website of the 2013 trip. “It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to or seen, and definitely a place I would go back to.”
Gigi Hadid loves turquoise waters.
The model was taken aback by Tahiti’s beauty.
“I just came back from Tahiti and it’s one of the only places that actually looks the way it does in pictures,” the model told Harper’s Bazaar in 2015. “The water is always that color no matter what the weather is like. It can be completely cloudy and rainy and the water is still turquoise and perfect.”
Lea Michele is a regular in Hawaii.
According to the “Glee” star’s Instagram feed, Hawaii is a destination she’s been to multiple times in recent years. She’s usually there with girlfriends, and it looks like she takes full advantage of the island’s many activities. Her photos show her doing everything from morning yoga to hiking to swimming, and of course, tanning.
Joe Jonas likes a ski vacation in California.
“If I had one day left on earth, I’d ski with my family in California’s Mammoth Mountain,” the DNCE frontman told Us Weekly.
Joe’s fiance Sophie Turner actually met Jonas’ parents on a “Jonas family ski trip,” so it’s clear that the sport is meaningful to the family.
Lucy Hale has a soft spot for Canada.
“One of my favorite cities is Vancouver, British Columbia,” the “Life Sentence” actress revealed to Us Weekly in 2014. It’s a good thing her new television drama films in exactly that location.
Demi Lovato loves Kenya.
In 2013, Lovato had a definite answer to a question about her favorite place: Kenya.
“Kenya is my favorite place,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer told Us Weekly. Lovato spent the first week of 2017 in Kenya working with the WE movement, so it’s safe to say it’s still a rewarding country for her.
